Interactive Brand Development, in a filing Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission, said that in order satisfy its debts it must obtain additional financing.
The parent company of iBill said in the quarterly filing that it had a working capital deficit of $23 million and $5.6 million in processor reserves and that it operated with $135,000 in cash as of June 30. The filing also revealed the company still owes $6.7 million to former clients. ?The company requires additional financing to satisfy past due obligations,? the filing said. Last week, IBD President Gary Spaniak signaled a continued deficit after the Deerfield Beach, Fla., company delayed its quarterly SEC filing. ?We?re still running at a loss, but we?ve elected to go forward,? Spaniak said. ?We could have claimed bankruptcy, but we didn?t.? IBD, in the last quarter, dumped its online auction and sports talk divisions, deciding to focus solely on its iBill brand. The company has additional investments, including a 34.7 percent equity in Penthouse Media Group Inc. and an interest in Interactive Television Networks Inc., formerly XTV. In the quarter, the company said it took out a $1 million loan that bears interest at 15 percent annually and includes stock options. The filing noted that the company?s loan maturity date is tied to proceeds from a settlement agreement with processing bank First Data Merchant Services Corp. In the filing, IBD also exchanged stock for millions in consulting work, its lease on IBD?s corporate facility and various creditors in settlement of debts. The company also revealed that it faces numerous lawsuits in both federal and state courts relative to litigation by former iBill clients pursuant to payments owed for credit card processing at the time First Data terminated its relationship last year with iBill. |

It's also interesting to see employees of iBill post on GFY and make statements along the lines of - the old management did'nt care about paying clients, but we are doing settlements with them and seeing they get paid blah. The parrott never stops squalking! The owners of iBill are still IBD and who is IBD? The same old Mexican "Doc" - aka Luis Enrique Fernando Molina of ex Pepsi-bottling fame - and that naughty little boy Jason - aka Jason Galanis, brother of drug manufacturer (the illegal kind) Derek, and son of Fat John, aka John Peter Galanis, - at one time the biggest fraudster in US history who milked people out of their homes, screwed banks and loads of other shit to the tune of at least $400 mill plus. The hunt for the money still continues... That must be the "new management" iBill staff talk about. Quote:

I switched back to Verotel (TicketsClub) as our primary procesor and our sales were immediately over double what they had been when we were running our traffic through gkard. This was interesting in that we used to have problems getting high conversions with TicketsClub, but it seems that Verotel has done a good job of beefing up their network infrastructure (signup forms come up fast) and I made some design/style changes on my end to make the visual transition from my sites to the TicketClub signup form less disorienting - that seems to have made a measurable difference. With all the extras Verotel offers (multi-currency, overloading signups based on currency, cc, check, debit, asian card, SMS), and given I'm currently generating more revenue with Verotel than I ever did with gkard, we're sticking with Verotel until we have reason not to. I did get a note from ibill (about month after I originally raised the gkard conversion issue with their support) which acknowledged the conversion problem and informed me that there have been recent improvements to the signup form. I looked at the new (gkard) form, and to my thinking, it seems cluttered (two columns of info) and intimidating to a prospective member (esp. one who may be familiar with 'traditional' credit card signup forms) with all its info related to their gb wallet, and such. I'm not ready to risk my traffic/sales on what they currently offer (from a technical standpoint). That's my take to the moment.. -Dino |
