are just being redirect to netjester.com I heard it was illegal for companies to just buy up domains and then sit on them and do nothing. I know there are several companies that do this as their business model like afternic.com but is it legal?

I think it probbably is but I have heard from several people that technically it's not legal. :disgust for example if you bought gunsnroses.com but then didn't do anything with it Axl or who ever could come after you if they ever wanted to use it. :pimp

One RIGHT way to do this is buy typos of new sites released by programs. If the surfer screws up on the spelling they go to your type which redirects them to that site......with your ref ID of course :)

Prolly a good thing you didn't battle them, Warren Buffett's holding company Berkshire Hathaway owns DQ and they have MAJOR cash.

It's illegal to buy them and hold as a type of ransom. For example, you can't buy a domain name and sit on it for the sole purpose of having the company have to come to you to buy it for an exorbitant sum.

We have been buying domains since 1995 and sit on tons, not a problem ever unless you are violating someones trademark.
