AMC would like to say sorry to anyone who was Spammed, and we are sorry.
 

OK just to update everyone as to what happened. Someone hacked one of our backup servers and used this to spam webmasters, and also to spam children.

We first off would like to apologize to anyone who has gotten this spam on our behalf, we shut that box off and it has stopped. Our abuse department is working with SpamHaus to try and trace this person so we can take the proper steps to prevent this from happening.

Being a program people are going to screw with you, it?s part of the game, people can spam webmasters all the want to generate complaints and to bring heat on us, we can deal with that. But, when the person goes out of their way to actually send mail to known Children?s e mail addresses does not hurt just us, it hurts the entire industry. I am not sure who in their right mind would actually mail a child just to make someone look bad that is very sick and twisted.

We were not blaming GFY itself for this and we also apologize to Lens and team if it came across that way. Ever since yesterday we?ve taken some heat, and also gotten mails from GFY members saying they are going to make our lives hell, this is where that assumption came from.

Either way we are working to find who this person is. And we are sorry for anyone this affected. People can flame all they want, that?s what most do on here so go ahead say what you want.

I would bet any amount of money that is NOFX went to a show nothing would happen. There was 100's of people saying how they were going to stomp and kick Pimpdogg's ass for all the jew comments he made, yet he's been to many shows and is untouched.

NOFX is not a racist, he posted what he did to fuck with people, we do not support what he has done in the past, but he is not posting that now while working with us. Different story my friend.

You people bashing AMC really have to let it go. I have been watching all this talk about AMC for awhile and this is the first time I have commented on it.

I heard Nofx was hired by Adult Mega Cash. Congrats to him and AMC - what else needs to be said? Certainly nothing negative. It's pretty obvious Nofx was not picked up because of his board personality, and it's pretty obvious that AMC saw skills in Nofx and offered him a position he probably deserved. How many of you personally know Nofx, or his skills? Hm?

I too got spammed today, and while it does suck it was hardly AMC's fault. Perhaps for a server insecurity, but other than that there is no reason any blame should be on AMC in my opinion. Blame the lowlife that had time to get into their server, grab their lists and send out bulk to not only us but children as well apparantly. All over a thread on GFY announcing Nofx's position. No one is to blame but the spammer.

With that said...
Do I agree with half of the shit Nofx says? No I don't. But if AMC saw enough skills in Nofx to hire him, then good for both of them. While some of the things he said may have been off-base and unwarranted, it's over now. I don't know about you guys, but I'm here to make money.

I never said it's a day filled with love, we would never censor our employee, I did say that he made those remarks to get a rise out of people, and that is in fact not a racist, or anything else. GFY has short term memory, how many people have posted things like this over time, many.

What I did say he is he focused on doing biz now, that if you contacted him direct you would see he is in fact not a racist, or anything of that manner.

We trust our employees to use their better judgement in situations when representing our company, the statements he made in the past he did not work for us. His opinions are not the reflection of what we think either.
