$20 to the guy who install Hot Links SQL for me!

I need someone to install it for me, I dont have the time right now. Its a pretty easy task just upload some files, import sql, set some permissions and set the right paths on things.

$20 Epass to the one who does it fast. ICQ 41555245

Positions has been filled by beta-tester!

The Duck 10-19-2005 08:20 AM

Ok, beta-tester got all the info and all the access to set things up. He came back after 30 minutes and told me he installed it but it didnt work, he claimed that the script was broken and to talk to the guy who made the script then he told me to send him 20 bucks so I did, dont want any drama.

So whats up with this is the script broken? Anyone installed it properly?

Sounds strange that a $90 script is broken to begin with.

Here we go what I got when I run admin.cgi

Quote:

Software error:

syntax error at /home7/sub002/sc14133-RKCN/www/cgi-bin/links/admin.cgi line 64, near "elsif ($adminaction eq ""
Execution of /home7/sub002/sc14133-RKCN/www/cgi-bin/links/admin.cgi aborted due to compilation errors.

For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([email protected]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.
This means that guy has the syntax errors in his script.

or maybe you didn't downloaded it correctly

Meorazhar 10-19-2005 08:39 AM

it looks like he uploaded the cgi files in binary mode instead of ascii
if it so, this guy is the one to blame

I downloaded it from the location that kandah gave me....and fixed all paths, corrected perl interpreter path etc etc....
and some parts (files) work, but some of them don't, coz they have syntax errors.

darksoul 10-19-2005 08:50 AM

I downloaded it and it looks ok.
Code:

perl -cw admin.cgi
Name "main::hitfilespath" used only once: possible typo at admin.cgi line 322.
Name "main::currentversion" used only once: possible typo at admin.cgi line 118.
admin.cgi syntax OK

hmm, I don't know...take a look here:
http://www.pspnetwork.com/cgi-bin/links/admin.cgi
or here
http://www.pspnetwork.com/cgi-bin/links/addlink.cgi

everything else works fine...just these 2 files don't.

Of course everthing is uploaded in ASCII mode as it states in manual.

Problem is still not solved. Anyone got any idea what it might be?

beta-tester 10-19-2005 02:50 PM

Seems like the problem is with your host. (I am not sure 100% though), but it works at my local box...I did exactly the same as I did with your site...and it works w/o problems, which means, it could be only the problem with host, maybe perl interpreter, or something like that...btw. paths are 100% correct, I tested them myself, and they work...

I recommend you to contact your host and ask them about this issue...

Could be an old version if peral on your server. get with the hose first.
