Google drops Gmail address in UK
 

Following a trademark dispute the mail account will be renamed Googlemail.

London-based Independent International Investment Research says it started using the Gmail name for a web-mail application 2 years before Google.

yeah just heard this on BBC news, but it was going to happen for sure. The other business used the name gmail long before google.
