How well does AdSense work for you?

Our account was just approved today and I am going to start using it on a few of our mainstream sites for various things.

What works best for you guys? I am not going to blast our sites with them, but I have a few sites that I think adsense would do very well on. I think I am just going to place AdSense on the far right column of the pages and see how it works on a few of the sites first. Guess I will just play around with it and see what happens!

its all about two things: traffic & placement of ads
get those 2 down and you're set ;)

dont forget relevant keywords

checkout the new keyword style ads (4 in column one converts best). they're not actual sponsor ads, but keywords related to your site, after they're clicked google takes the user to a list of sponsors for that keyword. that one works better than the old style direct link ads for us and many other sponsors.

It's all about getting relevant ads through the right use of keywords and integrating the ads into the site either by making them not be seen as an ad or making them a part of a picture/pictures.

Both will boost the CTR into new heights if done right.
