Bats: Amazing Animals...They're Primates Not Rodents...
http://www.batworld.org/myths_facts/myths_facts.html
I remember in college I was studing primates and since I was a Batman fan I also studied bats. I kept finding more similarities tween bats and primates than bats and rodents. One day I was at the Bronx Zoo and the bats were climbing all over and their display was in the same building as the gorillas. Now years later it's coming to light. Amazing facts about bats! There's a fruit bat that has a wing span 6ft wide. Saw a stuffed one at the Museum of Natural History. This lady walked into the display area, turned around and seen that big fucking bat and we had to carry her ass out of there. I would love to have a pet giant bat but how do you keep it healthy with no where to fly it. If I could train one to perch on my arm like I did with hawks that would be fucking cool. |
now there's an interesting idea :)

I would figure you would have to get a flying fox when it's still a kit or cub or whatever you call a bat offspring. As primates you could house break them. |
