Yeah, I saw the ad tonight also, and was pretty surprised. However, doing a deal with Apple has been good for business for U2, so I am sure that helped in the decision.

I wish I had to make those decisions-what a tough situation!

The problem really is not in making the decision, the problem is scoring out the deal to make it happen. The thought is always easy but after talkin to a few "Entertainment" guys from mainstream the shit is not as easy with a finger snap.

Saw that today. After his last album, it's pretty obvious he doesn't give a shit anymore & is just cashing a paycheck. That entire CD couldn't have taken more than 2 weeks to write & record. Total garbage.

The Stones, Zepplin, and so many others once said they wouldn't allow their music to be used for commercials. They all "sold out". They all do, eventually.

Probably part of his settlement deal. He got them on copyright infringement a few years back.
