Yeah well, now that he can't keep him off the pills long enough to do a tour, he didn't have much of a choice.

You only gotta stay sober for 30 seconds at a time to do endorsements. :thumbsup

xclusive 10-17-2005 07:12 PM

Lace 10-17-2005 07:13 PM

AdPatron 10-17-2005 07:21 PM

I could fart a better ad than that.

MikeVega 10-17-2005 07:49 PM

I think it made some reference to a greatest hits CD that is available on Itunes .. that may have played a part in it ... it was a promo for him also ... who did he sue over using his song awhile back ... it wasn't apple was it ?

Yeah, I saw the ad tonight also, and was pretty surprised. However, doing a deal with Apple has been good for business for U2, so I am sure that helped in the decision.

I wish I had to make those decisions-what a tough situation!

The problem really is not in making the decision, the problem is scoring out the deal to make it happen. The thought is always easy but after talkin to a few "Entertainment" guys from mainstream the shit is not as easy with a finger snap.

Attornies, agreements, schedualing its a whole mother fucker of problems to get a simple idea to go "live".

It's a big amount of money involved here! He wont take the offer if its not enough.

KCat 10-17-2005 11:50 PM

Saw that today. After his last album, it's pretty obvious he doesn't give a shit anymore & is just cashing a paycheck. That entire CD couldn't have taken more than 2 weeks to write & record. Total garbage.

bringer 10-17-2005 11:58 PM

even biggie is doing endorsements
i saw his today promoting ring tones with madonna from beyond the grave

kane 10-18-2005 12:12 AM

He actually sued them before when they had that commercial with the kid doing that song. So I guess he figured he might as well do it himself.

flashfire 10-18-2005 02:29 AM

reynold 10-18-2005 03:59 AM

seeric 10-18-2005 07:39 AM

yeah i am sure em needs the money. lol. not. its time. he could live off anger management and his other artists for a long damn time.

Drake 10-18-2005 07:56 AM

The Stones, Zepplin, and so many others once said they wouldn't allow their music to be used for commercials. They all "sold out". They all do, eventually.

candyflip 10-18-2005 07:59 AM

Probably part of his settlement deal. He got them on copyright infringement a few years back.
