Anything wrong with Oklahoma? Cheap realty!
 

Why is realty so cheap in Oklahoma? Is it a bad state to live in? On realtor.com im seeing 4,000+ sq ft mansions, three stories high with balconies, gourmet kitchens, deluxe bathrooms, with 1+ acre of land for ~$300,000. Compared to Florida, its funny what you can buy over there for the same amount of $. I'm thinking about moving and picking up a few houses, but it seems a little boring over there! Where else is realty cheap right now?

there is cheap places like that all over the place. You can get something similar here for that kind of money.

I would think you will have a hard time if you plan on renting one of those out though. I don't see someone making that kind of payment around here on a house to rent. Let alone, most people can't even come close to afford it.

I would do some research into the word "Tornados".

Oklahoma isn't that bad. I have a lot of family that lives there in the OKC/Lawton area. If you're near a city, it's allright. If you're out in the boonies, you're fucked.

Local sherrifs in small towns don't like you city folk moving into "their" families neighborhood. So just be prepared to be pulled over a few times to get checked out.
