Paycom is experiencing some intermittent connectivity problems.

Our tech's are on it. Shouldn't last long.

Yes.

Everything should be back to 100% now.

Sorry for the temporary interruption.

Out of curiosity - and not trying to step on toes here... but ...

How can it be acceptable for a processor to go down. Intermittently or not...

There are a metric fuckton of datacenters and network providers that can provide 100% uptime/availability. I can recommend several excellent ones, but I don't want this to seem like spam, so I won't post their names here.

It's not that expensive, and considering that there are just a handful of processors willing to deal with this industry, I can't understand why they don't have the mechanisms in place to provide _amazing_ service and 100% availability.

Rand 10-17-2005 01:23 PM

No one is more motivateed for 100% uptime.

Some things are beyond our control. Without naming names, "lots" of backend systems have issues from time to time. Work arounds and redundant systems are in place but a temporary glitch can still occur given the right set of circumstances. Better than 99% of the time everything works the way it's supposed to.
