got websitepulse for ages, 5 min interval is 7 bucks a month works like a charm

yes and then you have to pay per service monitored. I monitor unlimited
services / ports for a flat rate server price.

ssh, ssl, mysql, apache, ftp, sendmail, pop3, imap, dns, etc, etc, etc for 1

We monitor from 1 multihomed location only

k thats why we picked websitepulse they monitor from 15 locations plus pop etc is nice but I dont wanna know pop I just wanna know if the servers down and thats $7...

so yours is all inclusive, is that incl unlimited SMS as well?

ok...so what if you use http serving php pages with mysql and mysql is down?
http is still up and will respond......but your site won't show.

What's the point of monitoring from 15 different locations? If it's up from 1
it will be up at 15.....unless a network is down....which why we monitor
from a multihomed location.

I'm not trying to convince you....if you're happy with the service you got....
then keep using it.....
