Strange how Commodore was not able to hang on... At one time they were HUGE

KingK7 10-17-2005 08:41 PM

I never had a VIC 20, had several C64 though, before I moved on to the Amiga...
Got the first C64 as a christmas present, now that was one sweet fucking christmas...

reynold 10-17-2005 11:22 PM

Good thing apple got some brand to compete with.
I expect for the prices to change. :)

synapse 10-17-2005 11:27 PM

Not to detract from the c64 memories but when are they bringing back the Amiga!!!!

BadBrad 10-18-2005 12:10 AM

Somethign you guys probably didn't know. There used to be a online service for C64 and C128 users called QLink which was run by Steve Case. He took it offline to use the equipment for what now is AOL. It made enough money to get AOL off the ground.

my parents still have their commodore 64 and amiga. both fun machines. so many games for the commodore. they must have over 300. the amiga didn't last as long i guess. i've only ever known one other person who had one.

In a previous life I was involved in the video industry, and back in the day the Amiga was 'da shit for titling, 3d anim's etc ... every production house had one or two :thumbsup
