How many hours a week do you work?

WORK....not watch tv and type something occasionally.

I sat down and figured it out. I'd say 70 for me and then 20 or so of half ass work

bringer 10-16-2005 05:24 PM

91 is my average

High Quality 10-16-2005 05:25 PM

about 50 a week

PlugRush Sascha 10-16-2005 05:26 PM

30 hours tops. It'll probably be even less after I go back to school at the end of this month.

MikeVega 10-16-2005 05:27 PM

about 35 at the office and about 20 at home on the laptop while watching TV :thumbsup

No, I meant about you starting two threads about the topic of "work" :1orglaugh

Halloo?

I used to put in 12 to 16 hour days back in '98-2001, even did some 3 and 4 day stretches straight with no sleep..... but at some point you have to extract yourself from your "creation" and just let your sites do the work you designed them to do, sit back and live off the income, maybe tweak them and update them daily/weekly for a few hours a day at most.

Otherwise what's the point?

But in order to do that, the work has to go in, at least for a few years.

mikie mike 10-16-2005 05:37 PM

50 to 60

KingK7 10-16-2005 05:38 PM

Around 10-12 hours a day right now, and I've been cutting down lately...

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, that other thread just made me curious of this question. Our company is now 2 years old which is still relatively new. We're constantly attacking new challenges.

First was just design. Then design and custom programming. Now we're taking on other forms of media design, software production, advertising , etc...

So everytime we start something new its almost like a new startup that requires that amount of time and effort.

Also, we have multiple offices so when you're the boss you gotta tie all those people together in addition to other responsibilities. I dont see myself having a bunch of vacations anytime soon. But believe it or not...I really like to work and more than anything I like seeing the final products that we produce and the feeling of satisfaction when we have happy clients. So maybe i'll just be a working stiff and be happy with it for the next 30 years :thumbsup

Na na!! You got that the wrong way round BlueWire :winkwink:

You work hard in Costa Rica and while you are doing this you pay no taxes...

Then, you select a local brew, choose a hammock below a palm tree to give some shade and call this "retirement" - while you think of all that extra money you saved by not paying taxes :thumbsup

Veterans Day 10-16-2005 05:44 PM

I used to put in 12 hours a day 7 days a week. But we now have a baby, and that has changed.

30 min a week at the computer, and the rest taking care of the baby!

Vitasoy 10-16-2005 09:00 PM

Probably around 25-30 hours I'd say.

Peaches 10-16-2005 09:05 PM

2 hours a week but don't tell Zimm!!!
