My music volume keeps fluctuating :(
Lately, the music volume on my laptop keeps fluctuating like crazy...
especially when there is BASS, the music volume drops alot. and then goes up again, then down, then up I tried with Itunes, and WMP, and same problem I tried burning the songs on a cd, see if my music files got damaged, but they were playing fine anybody know how to fix this problem? thanx! |

Try to see if you have any grahiccard software installed, mix software (see trayicons). Maybe you set that software to adjust volume, bass and stuff depending on the sound.

It's simple BDJUF. Your sound chip's output is overdriving your operational amplifiers and causing a drain from the voltage regulators that the regulators cannot handle. Laptops have some of the WORST sound equipment to date. try turning your volume down and using an external amplifier.
