looking for some opinions about it, got a great offer for a used one...

I saw a review about it on TV and its THE SHIT
better than I imagined it to be.
Even though I feel to young for it I will make sure my mother upgrades to the latest mother ;)

its beeing sold by a mercedes dealer, so I would get all the shit like warranty, etc...and the price is really bargain for such car

I've had a couple of the sedans and the SL's are great also. Fantastic cars that hold their value well.

that is amazing car.. huh.. plane..I mean rocket.. .. yep I drove one merc S before 2 weeks.. it is amazing..good choise of car..confortable, fast and save car !!

What I mean to say is, in the big expensive "class" there are not really cars with a "bad safety" (I know my English sucks lol)

So I was checking the car personally today. To be honest, Im a bit disappointed. The car is huge from outside but not that big from inside. Why should I buy a car thats not much bigger than the C-class inside but harder to drive due to its huge size? :(

I have an s500 and like it. I had been driving the sc400 (lexus coupe) so wasn't sure about getting a big nasty sedan like the s500. Decided to go for it and am happy at the choice i made. Granted the thing is huge, it still handles and drives well.
I love the cl500's though, and would take that in a heatbeat.

I bought an M last year and still have it. It's a great ride. I've owned other benzes too. I had an E and an S. The S is butter.

Really, you can't go wrong with an S. The model that is about to be phased out has been hot.

Does it have Nav and Keyless Go?

The new S that's about to come out is hot. I can't wait to see it.

Get the S, especially if you're getting a deal. You'll be happy.

Beware of S500's ... they are problematic.. my buddy had one.. total shitbox.

funny - over here s-class cars are mostly driven by old wealthy guys and e-class combis by family guys with money... - must be the same as with Jägermeister, which is over here a drink for old guys in smoky pubs at the train station :1orglaugh

I've had for daily drivers an ML430, S430, SL600, and an older E. One thing you can rely on for Mercedes, no matter what class it is, it drives like a dream, and you feel like you are in a well built automobile. Just the thunk the door makes when you shut a Benz tells you how well built the car is.

true, you can hear by closing the door or trunk if its a Benz. Ive been lookin at an older S as well, but the 320s are the smallest and still fit nowhere here...

Quality is amazing, I know a guy who has a w108 old benz S type over 40 yrs old WITH a/c central lock n all it runs and runs smooth no weird sounds no problems, its quality.

same here, a combi just doesnt look enough sexy for me :) then rather a X5 or a similar SUV

what bout a lexus? an ML is way less quality imho then a X5 and a lexus is less $ and still pretty decent... as long as you dont get the X3 I see one every day its so weird...

I had a 99 s320 and I loved it.

yup, X5 rulez, ML(the old one) and X3 are not that good, they dont offer the quality you would expect from such cars. Lexus is an option, too, even though X5 looks much better to me.
