ATTN: TGP owners !
 

Hey all TGP owners,

I know that your main concern about galleries on a freehost is cheating. As an owner of a freehost I consider it my duty to try and prevent this shit!

So I came up with the following solution to use on my host:

The uploader will be able to login to his account and request to "secure page".

This way he will be denied access to it for a set period of time, say 15 days.

Each secured page will have a small notice at the bottom about its security expiration.

What is your opinion? Will that help you being more confident to accept the gallery? Is it worth it to implement the system?

I don't know what the general consensus is... but you get points for trying to stay off the blacklists!

Hey zubr -- I tried uploading to AdultProHost an hour ago (around 8:19PM EST) and the FTP was incredibly slow!!! I had to use another free-host for tonight's batch of TGP galleries. Later next week I'll try to use your free host again.

That is some thinking there, why not make the "secure page" last longer? I make more off my pages being archived than the initial listing usually. Why not 3 months, instead of not discouraging your host - it would actually encourage it.

Either way I like the idea.

I was checking out your site and I have 1 question... what are the limit's on file size?

Do you limit it to around 80kb's ?

So what does that accomplish? It just means the gallery won't be touched by the webmaster who created it for 15 days?

I thought the problem freehosts tend to get banned from tgp's is not so much redirecting by the webmaster who created the gallery, but by the freehost themselves. Forced 404's. Traffic from certain countries redirected. Java in the freehosts scripts. Huge banners on the freehost. These are just a few reasons freehosts get blacklisted.

Interesting idea though.

We do not redirect to 404, ask anyone!
And we host big images - up to 200 k :)

it sounds okay, I really don't have a problem with many freehosts, except sexhound.net and that's because CDR is a fucking shady son of a bitch who promotes child porn.

It's not a bad idea at all...

but anyway, don't you think your servers are too slow to be listed anywhere?

I tried to access your site, it takes so long to load...

I'll keep looking at the post and see if any TGP owners are thinking that could help them list sites hosted on free hosting.
