Troma Movie Fans: Make Your Own Damn Movie!

I have so many friends who work with and around Troma films it's ridiculous. I even wrote a rap song for a Toxic Avenger comic book. They shot Toxic Avenger 4 in my hometown and fucked my hometown up.

Now Lloyd Kaufman put out a great DVD set based on his best selling book called "Make Your Own Damn Movie".

I'm surprised at the talent he got to give the inside tips on how to make your own damn movie!

A real treat to us movie fans. I know some of you guys want to make your own damn movies or have already. Living here in Hollywood everybody and their cousin is making movies.

I love Troma movies :)

Sometimes they can be funny as heck and as stupid and gross as it gets. I mean nobody gets grosser than Troma.

What's your favorite Troma flick?

I have the whole DVD set---it's not that good---but there are good bits and pieces of info inside it.

I haven't seen Make Your Own Damn Movie but will soon as I can. I've been writing horror screenplays since I was 9 and Troma has always been a great inspiration. Often the movies are so raw you actually feel apart of the production (you can imagine the crew trying not to piss themselves with laughter in the background).

So the DVD isn't that good? Was it alot of talking heads that spread out the gab instead of getting to the point?

Greg... They kind of cut it fast pace and add comedy to it to make it seem like its moving faster than it is.

It's not great (IMO) --- but it's definately worth watching!!
