Rant :: Ccbill Sites

I see it in small and big programs and it's driving me nuts today.

Time is money, stop wasting ours.

When I sign up I expect access to my link codes, banners, galleries and god forbid CONTENT!

Also... stop forwarding us to your internal signup page after signing up with ccbill and expecting us to know the CCBILL ID when we never had a chanc to see it. Now we have to log into UBBER SLOW CCBILL to get the damn code, go to your internal signup page and be told "we will respond in 24 hours"

WHAT? I want my codes today. We work for you, give us the damn tools when we need it. We don't just sign up to be in your system and do nothing. We have traffic and sites to push you with.

Also, webmasters, answer your godamn emails when I need help finding the tools in your none xistant webmasters page. All I see is a few banners and a CCBILL signup box. Where's the goods? Ok, so I email liek any normal personw ould do.... but no answers... lovely. Are you people even in this biz to make money?

Sure I know the argument you want to check us out first before aproving us but when I am signing up for something it's because I want to add it TODAY.. inf act, usually NOW!.... not 24 hours from now when I no longer have time.

andrej_NDC 10-15-2005 05:48 PM

thats why I dont protect the webmaster section, you can grab links, banners, content, FHGs, etc...without logging anywhere

If "promoters" are expected to promote sites - they sure are as hell want content of all kinds and not spend a day working thru a pile of boring cgi search scripts trying to fine *something* useful OR having to communicate with the site owner for passwords blah.

Only my :2 cents: but it turns me off watching flash pages promoting a Porsche car or whatever that can be won - I'f I want/need a car, I'll buy one.

The lack of content that would sell anything, is prevalent. This extends to some "free hosted galleries" which have the conversion power of nada.

fris 10-15-2005 08:32 PM

ya i hate having to contact people takes 2-3 days its a pain.

Screaming 10-15-2005 10:11 PM

i think they should have most day service i mean like a bank this is peoples money

beemk 10-15-2005 10:16 PM

yeah no shit, i think if the webmaster area must be password protected, their should be a generic user/pass that is included in the auto generated email that ccbill sends you, i've seen many programs do it like that.

Only my :2 cents: worth but it seems that, with very few exceptions, a lot of the galleries were obviously mass-generated using any old stock content lying around. (You seen the garbage with 24 pics in "shoot sequence" and each one is only a finger-change position of the previous and next shot?? )

We will never be happy, or at least, should not be happy , with any "flash" for a conversion, but, bottom line is - that all that matters is a conversion.

Large sites are equally bad - throwing shit at the wall is fine, but it's the shit that sticks that matters :)

Even ten "good" galleries, presented "differently" and with relevant niched content and a variety of shots has got to be better than 500 galleries with irrelevant content that sure won't appeal to potential members. :thumbsup

You could always buy your own content. I buy all of my own, content isn't very expensive and your conversions will probably be better. If it is free content, chances are everyone has it, it is overused and won't sell as well as content you purchase.

i agree, i think the programs that go with that business model wouldnt know the difference between a shitty gallery and an awesome gallery though. and i doubt the people who want 10,000 galleries to export can send as many sales as the guys who are happy with 10 really good galleries.

sites convert better when the content matches the site better. i guess this doesnt apply to non exclusive sites that dont really have matching content. if everyone has seen all the free content, chances are all the surfers have already seen the site.

Good point!! Yes, I have loads of content here, but don't *really* want to then spend a day working on this to promote sites that claim to have galleries which can be "plugged-in" on rotation. I'd rather spend that day making up promo for our own sites.

If there is a rant, it's really more over claims of 2000 hosted galleries with a quality level below zero and animated banners that would blow surfers eyes out - presumably they are mean't to entice them to "click here" :winkwink:

Easton 10-15-2005 11:04 PM

with us, you're added right away so you get instant access to 425+ FHGs, tons of gigs of zip content for every scene in the program, immediate link codes, etc... so why not try something new? :)

15 mins its all it takes to get acccess to our dtc aff area and yes we protect it, theres a LOT of content, logos and stuff in it, so we have to, plus access is easy : ccbillname / ccbillid, thats all it takes.

If you dont wanna see all the content on forums this is the only opportunity, all the big guys work like that and we decided to take the easiest way. Surfers are smart, any idea how many logins we got on the old l/p system (for the AFF AREA!) from non affiliates? too many.

And we answer ANY email icq or whatever in 24 hrs :)
