mine became a foot rest :) Not worth fixing but I couldnt part with it. |
didn't Amiga invent multi-tasking?
I know in the late 80's early 90's they had the best graphics around except for SGI |
i lost my computer virginity on an amiga. it means girlfriend. i love that.
|
Man but nothing beats that old C64 when I was 10 years old! My 300 baud modem was slow as hell....but man nothing can touch those late nights breaking joysticks playing Summer Games, Bruce Lee, and Bards Tale...man and I can't forget my new fangled Fast Load cartridge that I soldered my own reset switch into!!!
Ok I'm revealing way too much about my nerdy self. Nz,8,1 |
Yeah SLeepy that was me on the Amiga... Please get some text tours going soon! My credit card is burning a hole in my pocket!

Go IBrowse!!!

What's all this nonsense about TEXT TOURS.. there are at least TWO half decent graphical browsers for the Amiga.. have been since the mid 90's. You also had your choice of TCP/IP stacks.
Honestly, I still think Workbench was fundamentally better than any of the GUI's we have now. And the Copper w/Agnus & Denise DEFINED what a modern peripheral chipset is today. Okay.. enough amiga advocacy for me. Whew.. that stirred up emotions... |
Still have my trusty 4000. It was a joy for many years.
Guess they still have hopes of a comeback. |

Ahh - the good old days. C64 was the best computer of its time. Summer Games, Ultima IV, Drive Music - what other computer can play music with only a disk drive. The 1.01 MHz C64 RIP |

Between the flash and java the only thing Im sure they would see is the text . I wonder what it could see ??? |
Tables, and images including animated gif's will work. I don't THINK many amiga users have the shockwave plugin, although in theory, they could wire in the java shockwave player.

Fucken right the old Amiga days were lots of fun. Some of my favourite games were: Dungeon Master, any game made by Cinemaware ( TV Sports Basketball, TV Sports Football, It Came From The Desert, Wings etc.), Hostage, Test Drive 2...
I have WinUAE and Fellow (Ami emulators), so I can still play a lot of those games on my PC! Of course I still have my old broken 500 (I think DF0: is toast, probably easy enough to fix if I could find a replacement drive) and my 3000 which as far as I know, still works... |
I got rid of my Amiga before they had a browser... Gopher ruled on my Amiga :)
