I used to just screw around on test n tune nights with various hot rod beaters I had. Never very fast, often the laughing stock of the track.

i've done that many times too :1orglaugh even in rusty shitboxes with decent power. Took a big ol bomber, a 66 oldsmobile delta 88 4 door with a 455 did a best pass of 13.98 @ 112 :1orglaugh

I used to be into it bigtime in my younger days when I was a machinist. It's been over 10 years since I messed with anything serious though.

I had a badass Peterson valve guide and seat machine with an airfloat table. Also had a boring bar. I'd port out heads and put larger new valve seats for larger valves, machine for screw in studs and larger valve spring seats. I could do all that shit. Still can, it's sort of like riding a bike, you never really forget how once you learn it.

A lot different than this internet fucking shit.
