STD's -- Cruel Joke from God?
 

We're all holed-up here on GFY, instead of out with the rest of the kids in the school yard, because sex is "bad", right? We (our species) made this bed, and we're lying in it. Done. Because sex can lead to pregnancy, and because (uncalculated) pregnancy can throw a monkey wrench into asset transfer, folks had to come up with a way to keep sex in check -- enter, Shame. Done. But, shame by itself couldn't do the trick, especially once we got savvy enough to come up with contraceptive methods. Hmmmmm -- :disgust

STD's conveniently add FEAR to shame, but this only works because we have enough science to make the connection between fucking and disease, and -- recently -- between fucking and death. Hmmmm -- :Oh crap

Either the conspiracy nuts are right and "government" (or whoever) created AIDS to pick up the slack on shame, or... :uhoh

God did it, or...

Evolution is slapping us on the wrist for being too promiscuous. I'm thinking sex with monkeys is well enough across The Line to support either scenario.

Society is at odds with porn because they think we contribute an attitude of looseness towards the shame-based Rules that had been keeping things in check. Even though you might say porn is for whacking off, which is one less load that didn't make it's way home to roost in Debbie's uterus, you gotta admit having all these pictures of fucking all over the place makes it harder to enforce the taboo.

STD's have become more aggressive pathologically, and society has escalated the stigma. So, who did we piss off -- God, Evolution or the Conservative Establishment?

think about it.. you're ramming a part of your body into a literal hole in another persons body. seems only logical that there be potential consequences.

It does put a damper on those lovely one nighters, doesn't it?

It is all his fault.

I bet it went a little something like this:
