ya i think so. i was born & raised in Pittsburgh, PA and never heard of it till i moved to Cleveland, OH when i was 17 and in high school. i was like "Wtf is sweetest day???" so i dont know if just a midwest thing, unless you consider Cleveland, OH midwest. but either way, its a stupid "holiday".
