EBAY fraud help
A friend of mine bought a bike off ebay and paid with WU. He never got the bike and the dude disappeared after he got the money. The guy he sent the money to is in the US. Anyone know any ways to go after this guy other then calling Ebay's fraud department, and the cops?
Hmmm, it will be tough since he paid with Western Union. How much was the bike worth? If it is over 1-2k you should start by calling your local police to file a report and then calling the police in the county where the guy lives (most police depts. require you to fill out a report in your own city first)
Good luck |
happened to a friend of mine. your friend might as well start counting his loses and move on.
are you a friend of bdjuf?
does your friend live in the same country where the item was suppose to be shipped from? sometimes the free trade agreement can be a bitch!
With WU... your options besides hitting eBay's fraud department are limited. You should get in touch with thier safe harbor program right away. Sound like your boy got scammed by a fly by night auctioneer.
Sorry but he's been screwed. Paying with WU is a big no no.
Your friend is probably out the money. eBay only pretends to care when someone has a problem.
I had a huge amount of erroneous fees find their way to my account last year. They laughed at me when I tried to argue that they weren't mine. I got a lot of "I understand your frustration but....." They don't understand my frustration. Sorry to hear that about your buddy. |
calling ebay fraud and the cops is good a place to start
never use western union
