Good question. Steve, how about you just keep it garaged, and then I can just fly to FL and have a bike to rent while I am there? |
I'm thinking of getting a chopper but I'm still not sure.
either that or a sports car |
I don't like Harley's however a custom chopper would be nice..
why not bring it up here to Daytona for Biketoberfest? I'm sure it would sell there. |
Price? With Screaming Eagle Pipes and Detachables that include Windshield and Sissy Bar.
$17,500 obo. I've got a new toy on the way and I need to make room. |

I'll take some real shots of it tomorrow in the daylight and post them. That bike posted earlier is pretty much like it. I have different pipes and my sissy bar and windshield are detachable.

Italians = Looks Japanese = speed US = rolling chromed tubs that make more noise than speed? |
The Softail was never built for speed.
I've owned a lot of bikes over the years including many Japanese bikes. I've had faster, I've had sleeker. None have been more fun and enjoyable to ride than this bike. I think that you're a real motorcycle rider and fan you can understand to appreciate the strengths of any bike. My top fave bikes include Fatboy 999r Gixxers Speed Triple BMW Boxer Cup Replica That said, if you don't like it that's your choice. |

bump for Harleys
|
Harleys are the best god damn bikes period. Harleys are all about class, pride and american muscle. Harley can do 120 pretty easily, so i dont know how there slow. Harley xr-750's flat trackers can do 160. Jap bikes are peices of shit might be fast but has no pride in it and will never last as long as a harley.
|
Sweet looking bike, hope you find a buyer!
|
Bump for Steve.... I have 2 and don't need another.

This is my rant and im stick by it. Id give up porn, pussy and beer before id give up my harleys. |
Baddog, don't tell them that the value of their machines drops as they clear the stealer's lot. Unfortunately, Harleys aren't that way. I bought my '95 Springer in '94, converted to Stage 1 and sold it 4 years later. Purchase price: $17,500. Sale price: $24,850....and that was with 110K miles on her. Harleys appreciate. Ricers don't. You people may go faster but I see much, much more of the beauty of our land than you. There's just no way I'd "enjoy" using my head as a front bumper, with some bitch laying over my back. Foreign and domestic/apples and oranges.

Comparing a sport bike to a Harley is like comparing an etch-a-sketch drawing to a Van Gogh. One is temporary, one will be around forever. How many miles do you have on your "sportbike?" |
Nice bike steve

Re: resale . . . . 1986 Heritage Softail, 176k miles on it (original motor, had to re sleeve one cylinder due to a wrist pin coming out), and I can sell it for more than I paid for it.
