I have done it, first time as a plugin about 5 or so years ago, about the same time I setup trial member areas.. We also did our free email programs open like this at first and then collected emails / upgraded memberships.. Set it up to register the person, even if you don't ask for email, it seems to keep people better because you can send them an email with a user/pass, it's a good way to remind them of the site if they don't bookmark.

I have also seen some se pages setup like this recently..

And it makes a sht load of money in our members section :winkwink:

Cam programs and Pay per view programs only make money while they are stil your members if that. this new program will make money over and over as we update new photos cause they will want to see the video :winkwink:

Have you looked at how its set up? I doubt you did it like this. its a lifetime free members section that keeps on giving and the content keeps on building till they join.

the way we have our limited trial offer is totally differant this is just a bonus members section that keeps surfers on your network after they leave.

Maybe what you did had traces of this style but not the same

It was almost exactly like this with a few little changes, it almost looked the same too.. Access free porn was first setup as a free access (no reg required) members area that auto updated and the upsell was our paysites. We did however ask for registration to collection the double opt in email but the content was free to access even if you didn't reg. We did however make it so you had to reg first after a little while.

We also had a feature like this for a membership bonus, life time access.. I even talked with Steve about how he does his and how we are doing ours, which is honestly almost exactly the same.

so, how have you been?

the industry mags are driven by advertising dollars. advertisers are the ones that get their pictures in the mags and little articles written etc. even if it doesn't appear like it, if you are looking at an ad or article or feature in a mag, its 90% driven by ad dollars. this would exclude feature cover stories where the mag makes their monthly "big deal about something" if you notice how the mags are, there is a core group of about 50 people that are always in the mags, (unless the ad creator has pics in their ad that was submitted for print). you can see it in every mag. the same people get their pics in there and the articles.
