Some of the less-reputable shops will give a backroom epidural (spinal block) for those type of tattoos so they don't feel the pain....which is totally risky because if they do it wrong a person could end up paralyzed. But then again, some people really get off on the pain so whatever floats their boat. Bet he gets lots of attention for it though.
