Is promoting gambling online illegal for canadians?
I was talking to Alex from montreal and i needed more consensus/information regarding this matter.
I understand it is illegal to run a casino in canada (excluding first nation territory) that is not part of the canadian govt (Lotto ) But can canadians directly or indrectly promote gambling sites? If so, would a big site that displays poker advertisments be in trouble since it has poker ads on their site ?(even tho they are displaying others people's advertisements) I ask this because i have a "how to win at sports betting" ebook software that i am completing and would like to know if mine would fall into this category. |
The trick is to promote the domainname.net site that is a no money, just for fun, gambling site.
The domainname.com site is the for money site. Plenty of links from the domainname.net site. The rest is an exercise for the reader. I have seen this info offered for sale for $10,000. Buyer be ware. I may have just made a lot of enemies.... :1orglaugh |

works well on a branding level. |
It is illegal to run a casino in canada but far from illegal to promote them.
How many casino commercials you see on TV everyday for Casino Niagra Falls, and the tv networks definately are paid to promote them. This isnt lawyer advice, but i know canadians making bank off partypoker etc. |
good question eh'

There are plenty Canadian residents earning off gambling promos.
The main, and almost only problem, is with US residents and gambling. Other than that, most countries have no problematic laws on this and currently US gambling operations, (the legal one's) are establishing a prescence in other countries to free themselves up to compete. |
