I am looking at the Bose systems

there is the Bose Lifestyle 35 or 38 that I am really interested in (since the 28 doesnt come with progressive scan dvd player)

anything good to say about those? or maybe far better ones out there for the same price?

Nah I would skip bose personally for a home theatre system... I'd suggest looking into british made Monitor Audio speakers if your budget will allow it.
