I just want to let everyone one I was doing some research and I found this
hot houston copied lannis web site.. was a bunch of ass holes! I got so angry.. even if its not my web site I personnaly know lanni and thats soo wrong what they did..
so dont promote sex-sells.com or pornstardollars.com who ever designed that web site.. and is managind it..

Looks more like "inspired by" to me. That web design was definatly not "stolen". I see no copyright infringements.

No doubt it's the same template but try contacting Lannie's site owners first, maybe? It's possible that they own both sites or bought a non-exclusive design.

it's certainly "inspired" by, but not the same ... you have no case. Besides, its probably not so much the people as the designer.

It definately is the same template, but, I don't know if it would actually constitute copywrite infringement... still, too similar to be a coincidence :)
Let your webdesigner know... he might have sold it to them.. you never know..

That sucks... I dont want people copying my new design when it'll be out.. I dont want them to be inspired or nothing.. I dont even want them to make it look a little my web site when it'll be out.. damn it..

sorry to break it to you, but if someone sees your design and wants something like it they can.... and there isn't really anything you can do about it unless they right click and save as your entire site.....

Only way to stop people from liking your design and being inspired by it. Would be to make shitty and ugly designs.

Everything in the world is inspired by something someone finds beautiful. What makes you think websites are any different?

everyones point is that you should relax. its the internet. you are posting this like its news... its no different than the other 50,000,000 threads claiming a design was stolen since 1995. one site looks like another site... sucks. so what? you can't control 6,000,000,000 people. you can control you. its part of business. you wasted time and energy caring about a similar site instead of investing that time and energy in what will make you money. one will yield a return.. one won't.

the design is realy the same.. but i dont think she / you can do anything about it..
i mean you know how much paysites have the same design on them? they saw it.. loved it.. told their designer to make something very similar probably..

Zeina I agree you were given a bit of a rough ride on this one.
But you cant come striaght out and attack someone elses program or site due to the fact they are alike.
Copied maybe but a ripe- off I dont think so.
Take this one as a GFY learning curve and dont take it personel,at the end of the day it really does not matter.
