Its very fucked up but he choose to live in a place where they have a history of going after adult webmasters and then choose to do something to put himself into the spot light. The sad thing is most webmasters have this same attitude nothing can happen to me and when you tell them they could they look at you like your a fool or paranoid.

yahoo search= "obscenity" / second headline from top

http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...sa_photos_dc_1

"In my 33 years of law enforcement experience, this is one of the most horrific examples of filthy, obscene materials we have ever seized," Sheriff Grady Judd said in a statement. He did not elaborate.

--nice "opinion" - who made you god>?

The controversy sparked by the photographs of war dead followed the publication a year and a half ago of photos showing U.S. soldiers abusing Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib jail. That scandal prompted international condemnation of the United States.

no comparison, did chris take the pictures?, is he a soldier?, is he in any way connected to the war in Iraq?

I just sent a tip to Gawker.com about the real website. Hopefully they'll update their site.

i agree with you. people here seem to have a tough time grasping the concept of community standards and indecency/obscenity issues.

its not anything new.

Controverial Porn + controversial images + politics + media/attention whore = you probably deserve it.

ProjectNaked 10-11-2005 11:17 PM

the whole thing stinks, if no one comes to his defence, the federal and state authorities everywhere will go crazy with this, arresting anyone they damn well please. Just wait until they start using 2257. The days of warrants are over. If this shit doesn't stop, they will just invade and sieze wherever they see "just"

This theory is pure bull shit. A community is now defined by invisible boundries known as "counties" now? What a crock. If I live just outside of polk county but my friend lives just inside the line, he has different "standards" than me? What crap.

until now, i did not think it was possible to be this completely fucking ignorant of the law and obscenity issues in the US and work in porn.

if only drug smugglers had thought of your "invisible line" argument

What a fucked up situation...

KRL 10-12-2005 01:51 AM

If you don't see what's ahead, especially for people pushing the limits, you're in for a big big surprise.

The Patriot Act gives the government virtually unchecked power to investigate and search your world inside out, enter your home without a warrant while you're not there, all sorts of stuff that would have the founders of this country turning in their graves.

You have an administration with christian evangelists and supported by the same that don't like what you do and have prioritized the mission to take you down.

And if like Chris you operate in a county where the local powers that be have historically been intensely anti-porn then you have no one to blame for yourself for that huge no no.

I've always chuckled inside watching so many come into this industry and think they can do whatever they want and get away with it. Completely ignorant of obscenity laws and potential risks, and how overall risky being in adult entertainment really is especially right now in this legal environment.

larry walters is going to be on ynotradio.com this afternoon.. best time to hear from the man whos defending the guy

Consentual adult sex isn't obscene to me. The reality of war isn't obscene to me.

What is obscene to me is $3/gallon gasoline.

Can I make a case for our local Sheriff to charge the local Shell gas station with obscenity charges for offending me with their $3/gallon gasoline? Use that precedent to persecute and prosecute other gas station owners.

We could scare gas station owners into putting pressure on suppliers to bring prices back down to earth.
