Why do some sponsors have a $100+ minimum payout?
 

I think thats arrogant.
It cant cost more than $2 or $3 to process a check. Give me my money!!!

I must have a few hundred bucks in payouts owed to me by different sponsors and havent gotten paid because I havent met their minimum.

if you cant send traffic worth 100 bucks just keep it to yourself :)

Its because the accounting fee's would be outrageous and cut into profits if you sent 100,000 people 25 cent checks.

100$ is a bit steep , but there has to be some minimum..

Spacash ( see sig ) has instant payouts , so you can get paid every 3 days if you want.

maybe sponsors that have $100 mins are probably trying to avoid surfers who sign up as webmasters to get discounted signup rates.

Else we would be sending $7 dollar checks each time. When I get these myself I just throw them away, it costs 10-15 euro to cash out a check, after that you lose 20% to convert dollars into euros.

So they can steal from new webmasters.

Some of us have link pages that link to all sorts of different sponsors, its not just picking 1 sponsor and promoting only them.
I have about 25-30 sponsors who send me $100 here, $75 there, $50 there, it adds up.

Adultplayersclub has a 200 for foreign webmasters....and counts Canada as foreign. Seems a little crazy to me, especially with payment solutions like epass...it shouldnt matter where i live if its payday.

I think $50-100 it's industry standard...

I don't like too small checks. It's a lot of problems.
1.I'm too lazy to go to bank for few dollars.
2.I have to pay commission for each check, it's very small percent fee but it can't be lover than minimum around $5-$6

Promote ccbill sites :) they are paying each $25 :)

Simple reason: Webmaster Fraud

100$ is not a lot you should be able to make that in a day no problem.

I make thousands a month, from adding up all the smaller sponsor checks, its not all from 1 sponsor

not when you're first starting out.... that's why I used ccbill and just merged my accounts

I know we have a $100 minimum because we did a promo that gave everyone that signed up in a time frame $50 ... we can't just send out the $50 we needed them to put up the links and generate some cash before sending it ... worked out well ... i should do it again soon ... :)

Main issue is not the ability to send enough traffic to get to the minimum payout. My issue is the minimum payout versus a site that is converting seriously bad.
Ussually goes something like this.
Try new sponsor. Send sponsor 20k+ of clicks. See 1-2 signups out of 20k+ clicks. Relize this sponsor sucks ass. Delima time, need 2-3 more signups to reach minimum payout. Sponsor is converting around 1:10,000 when simuliar sponsors are converting at 1:2000.
Do I continue on and try to reach minimum even though they are sucking balls, or do I count it as a loss and remove them all together.

The main reason for the $100 minimum is because of check processing fees.

Ive got quite a few sponsors with $50 or so in them with $100 min payout...If you hit them up, sometimes they'll work something out.
