What's the benefit of cascade billing?

I'm still trying to determine why it is beneficial to do cascade billing instead of sticking with one processor? Can someone clue me in?

DutchTeenCash 10-11-2005 10:20 AM

cause when #1 gets declined #2 might ok the signup :)

MrIzzz 10-11-2005 10:22 AM

certain processors scrub like crazy, so if they dont accept that transaction it will go to the next more "leniant" processor

High Quality 10-11-2005 10:23 AM

40-50% of your declines get accepted by secondary. Definitely worth the extra $750 visa fee if you ask me.

Wizzo 10-11-2005 10:25 AM

Most people see a increase in sales of 10%-20% by adding multiple processors.

Or the $150 to $650 per month for the lease. Add up your biller charges and see which is less. :)

Cascading billing gives many options, especially if your traffic is from more than one country and you're geo targeting.

If one is denied, the surfer is offered other choices and chances to join.

I want surfers to have every available option to give me money.

besides NATS is there anything else?

If you only need cascading billing I think NATS is overkill. I have my own little cascading system with no fancy admin and pure hardcoded variables. If you know perl or php it can be made with a few lines of code...

You're correct in saying that NATS is not only cascading (something people always seem to think :) ), however I wouldn't quite call it overkill :)

You can do very basic cascading by simply pointing the denial URL of processor A at the form URL of processor B. You don't need to do fancy things to do the basics.

NATS is an entire affiliate program software allowing you to run a fully featured program. It's not just about "cascading". Affiliate software being called cascading software is due to another product highlighting it as their main feature back when they started. Today's affiliate software (both ours and others) does much much more than cascading. If you would like a demo of NATS please visit http://www.democash.com or give us a call, 732-385-1536 for a one on one phone demo.

Thanks!

I'm not one to suck on the teit of NATS, but I just can't argue with my bottom line or the amount of new webmasters I've been able to signup because of the options I can easily offer my affiliates by using it. From being able to schdule emails to my affiliates with their codes built right into the email and easy intergation of FHGs to being able to offer a second tour for a site (something I'm going to be doing this week!). While I agree that if ALL you want is Cascading then NATS is overkill, but I've more then made up the $160/month by only using half the features of it. In fact I think next month I'm going to be paying the next lease level since my sales are going up so quickly.

i'm glad to hear that. i'll make the investment.

Now that I have decided to use NATS, can we run a NATS relief fund for me so I can pay for this.

venus 10-11-2005 04:40 PM

actually getting your own merchant account and not having any scrubbing except what you want to scrub would be cheaper by a long ways.

Some popular programs with cascading billing are MPA3, Partner Soft, and Executive Stats.

Being born with a trust fund labeled Gates would be nice too. The reality is that most newer/smaller affiliate programs can't get going on their own merchant accounts. Not every peg fits every hole.

pornmonger 10-11-2005 07:25 PM

Anyone use MPA3?

I think if you do lots and lots of sales, its worth the money you pay for it.

Exactly .. merchant accounts increase your bottom line significantly! :)

Besides the scrub issues there are also upstream problems for processors to deal with now and again, by having the ability to cascade and/or switch out your processing solutions you can save alot of nail biting experiences.
