Going to the USA from The Netherlands, do I need a "special' passport?

Some time ago on the news, they said you would need a "bio" chip or whatever....Is this required or is my valid "old" Dutch passport enough?

Also how hard are the customs in the USA? Are they worse then the Canada ones :upsidedow

Last time I went to vegas is was very easy. They just checked my luggage and that was all...

This time I will go for 3-4weeks so should I expect some investigation?

call the American embassy if you're not sure, I do think they require an electronic passport now, the ones with a magnetic stipe and barcode, but the best thing for you to do is call them up

You need a visa, because we are trying to keep eurotrash out!

You should be fine,

They will take fingerprints, an photo and an anal check at the airport but other than that you shouldnt have problems.

Just tape the xtc around your waist. Always does the trick.

http://travel.state.gov/

Check there, also for anyone from the US who does not have a passport,
I suggest getting one before Jan. Supposedly new regulations are going to require
you to have one even to travel to Mexico or to the Carribean - and come
January, the back log in waiting time is going to be ridiculous.

Yeah indeed, I should call :-) And I just did. My passport is fine. I don't need magnetic stripes etc. I just need the "hard" card inside our passport. So I'm all okay now:)

Its easy , when you dont have the bio chip, they do the rectal test for 4 hours in a row , if you complaint they add a 2 hours for free ;)

After that, you sould be fine to enter in the US ;)

PS: In the rectal test, if they find a Jeep, or a house , you will need to pay tax on it.
