Who here has veneers?
 

I'm getting a brand new full set of $30k teeth over the course of the next 6 months..... full veneers. Been prepping for it for a year. Gonna be like fuckin' movie star teeth when she's done.

Anyone else gone through this?

had it done a few years ago best thing i ever done after laser eye surgery dont let the doctor talk you into any natrual looking things get them 1 shade whiter then the top

also they will first file your teeth down and you will wear temps so you can adjust your bite while they order the veeners by the time the veeners arrive your temp will be falling off

first few months you will have dreams that you lost all your teeth or that your teeth are lose it happened to me and to a friend who had it done too

thats stupid to take out a second mortgage for your teeth, especially when you're ugly in general.. but if it makes you feel better about yourself (and we know how insecure you are), then go for it... but you can get them done in Thailand by an accredited hospital with Swiss doctors for about 1k... In fact, thousands of people from around the world come here for their dental work because of the savings...

So when you're paying your monthly payments for your teeth, the extra 29k you spent, you will look even stupider than you'll look with a busted face and nice teeth lol!!

you pay per veener in the us depending on what lab makes them they go from 500-1200

my dentist used divinci labs in cali it was expensive but one of the better labs

lots of work per tooth on the dentist side

the applying of the veeners is not really what takes the time, its the filing of your teeth each tooth seperate that takes time its many visits depending how many you get done.

it can change your smile and face by allot its amazing

I'm really looking forward to it. Like I said, I've been in prep stage for almost a year..... my dentist has me on 4 last stage operations before we do the veneers, and now I'm really getting excited for it. :thumbsup

I was planning on getting them done early next year in Thailand. Kman is right, very cheap to do there (but high quality) and people do come to Thailand from all over for all kinds of dental and plastic surgery.

For those who had it done... DOES IT HURT? I'm such a pussy when it comes to mouth pain.

Describe "stage operations" please. Sounds painful.

I have some things I need to have done before moving on to the veneers...

1. Root canal on #19
2. Crown lengthening on #18 & #19 (Laser gum slicing)
3. Porcelain crowns on #18 & #19
4. Laser gum slicing across the gums... all of them.
5. Mold / Castings.

Sounds horrific, but it's not that bad.

Veneers -- filing?

There was no filing done when I got mine. But you are right about the color. Dentists try to convince you to match the color of your non-veneer teeth. I should have gone with a whiter white.

They roughed up the surface of my teeth so the veneers would have a better hold. I felt like Bugs Bunny with protruding teeth for two years. I lost my ability to whistle because I had my upper front teeth veneered. One thing I have noticed is although the front of the tooth looks fine, the back is stained. I don't think my dentist knew what he was doing.

Amp, I'm sure you have the best dentist available. Good luck. It is well worth the time and any pain you may feel, but the price is off the wall.

LOL I just take care of the fine set I have. My parents also thought enough of me to take me to a dentist when I was younger, so I would have perfect teeth when i was older.

One thing I wont skimp on is good dentistry. I've had my fair share of procedures, it's always worth the extra money and it's not an expense I think twice about. Go Amp.
