Let me know when this paypal link gets setup. I'll contribute. This is for Now That's Fucked Up website run by xanx. He's facing 300+ charges for obscenity for nude images on his forum.

YankBro 10-10-2005 04:24 PM

I do feel for him but he made his own bed...who would fuck with the Bush administration openly and not expect retaliation?

Sly 10-10-2005 04:26 PM

Anyone know if he's still in jail? His bail was $150k I believe, don't you only need 10%?

I believe he is going to be released on bond in the next day or so.

Brujah 10-10-2005 04:30 PM

If you find yourself in the spotlight and arrested for having a pretty tame site as far as digital images of nude amateurs are concerned, I'd support what you'd be going through too.

i do believe this will only draw more attention to the matter. in this exceptionnal case, bad publicity is... bad publicity. adding more fuel to the fire will contribute simultaneously to :
1-keep up the good press porn has been getting lately </sarcasm>
2-challenge the authorities

now i am aware that i will not stop any of both parties involved, and that tons of valid but worthless arguments will be brought up to my attention. although on the big picture, this story already went too far prior to xanx being put under arrest. neither am i saying that this will cause the downfall of porn, as it is ridiculously futile to believe so. but you guys should drop it, even if you wont :2 cents:

I think the tame nude images are just to get the ball rolling, it was the corpse photos that had them in arms...secondly...if you live in a county where it is illegal to post images...then its illegal.

Just cause its ok 150 miles from me to jaywalk doesnt grant me the right to jaywalk here.

Dont get me wrong, i feel for the guy, but fuck, you break the laws then talk about it on National Television you are getting charged. And i for one dont want my name, website or industry related to someone in violation of the laws and under prosecution. We dont want the media to think this was a "normal" adult site...it fuckin wasnt, it was obscene.

Instead of donating money for defense we should be donating for a lawyer to get the victims family money from this guy for profiting off of there dead photos. But no...they are iraqis, so its allright to exploit them...right?

blackfeet 10-10-2005 05:01 PM

if the bush admin never liked pics of coffins being shown, why would they allow the kind of pics chris posted at his site? having soldiers submit raw, unclassified photos for porn?!? come on...

no matter what the out come, he's going to pay a BIG price!!!

i wish him luck!

Brujah 10-10-2005 05:03 PM

Hardlinks, get back to me when this becomes about dead iraqis and you set up a site to accept money for them ok ?

Currently, it's about obscenity in the form of tits and ass on a message forum, less shocking than what you see posted here at GFY.

heywood 10-11-2005 07:38 PM

I think it's pretty awesome all the GFY'ers that are showing support for him.

The shame is the money that will go to him. A guy who choose to live in a county that has a history of going after adult webmasters. Then to choose to be on the news and do something to thrust himself into the spotlight. When there will be some small webmaster who works quietly, follows the rules and if they have a problem the money wont be there to help them.

They ( read: the moral authorities ) are fucking him:

Quote:

Each misdemeanor charge Wilson faces requires a $500 bond. The felony carries a $1000 bond. His total bail is $151,000, but because each charge is relatively small, Wilson has to post $30,100, or nearly twice the percentage of the bail normally required by a bondsman, and, because he has to post each bond separately, Walters said it is difficult to find a bondsman willing to take on that many individual notes.
He would have been better off to leak classified info on a CIA operative ....

Are you suggesting that no one support free speech if it might make adult look bad to some people? Would you have said the same when Flynt was in jail?

Remember when Larry Flynt wore the American flag as a diaper? Do you think no ones should have supported him because it brought bad publicity to the adult industry? Should Larry Flynt be shunned for making everyone in adult look bad? :1orglaugh

THey have done this before in polk county when clinton was president. He went into the media spotlight did something to bring attention to himself. Polk county doesnt like adult webmasters, ever been to polk county I have you cant buy a dirty mag in polk county no strip clubs. Now if you pick this place to start a adult business and then go on tv your asking for trouble. The problem is most webmaster think they are bulletproof for some reason thats beyond me.Why is that so hard to understand..
