Is there like a "Rating System" or something for Doctors?
 

So you can see there background and all that shit

Do a Google for "<Your State> state medical board"

Your's would be...

http://www.health.state.ny.us/nysdoh/opmc/main.htm

This way you can see if the doctor has any major complaints or cases against them. This Google search works with most states. :)
