i dont try out alot of new sponsors due to min payouts

ok...

lets say im currently sending sponsor a traffic. and im coverting 1:500 with them. now sponsor b wants me to try em out, and im down ill give it a whirl.
same traffic, converts 1:1000

the min payout is 2 or 3 sales. so do you
a) send them more traffic at a fucked up ratio to make min payment (knowing you are losing money no matter what)
b) say fuck it, dont send em another click and go back to sponsor a pronto
c) post a post on gfy how min payouts stop alot of people from trying out your programs due to this kinda shit.

I would try a lot more programs as well. You bring up valid points. If program owners want us to try them out it would be nice if they were fair and paid out if things didn't work out.

I get pissed and try and meet the mins, but then I really get a bad taste for the sponsor when u see it took 100000 million clicks just to get $50

anyone with a decent amount of traffic can send a sponsor 3-4 sales if they can send them one. if they suck that much i usually dont get to the point where i get one sale and i stop promoting them.

I prefer epass payments, signed up for G3X, 500$ minimum, ouch!

if you are one sale short, just buy a membership yourself, make the minimum and then move on....

I'm not a big enough fish to quickly send 4 sales to every sponsor I promote.... so a lot of them have money waiting for me..
my last 'tryout sponsor' converted at:
1:2147 JOIN page uniques for october so far... and that one sale was a trial :)

I don't really care personally ... If the sponsors looks good, even if it has a 250 $ min payout I'l try it . If after one or two sale it don't fit, I'l just drop it . 25-30 $ lost aiin't that bad ...

what really sucks: sponsors that won't pay you for webmaster referrals unless you send them signups.

It's not very wise to make a conversion decision too quickly. The way math works out on that, you don't even have a decent statistical sampling until you've sent many thousands of clickthroughs (if not more).

Well, i basicly use SE traffic so if it doesn't hit at 1:900 then either the sponsor is freakin up, the site is no good or something is wrong with billing :)

High minimum payout amounts are a drag. It's one of the first things I look for in the TOS when considering promoting a program.

There should be no minimum payouts, if you earn it you should get it no matter how much it is. Other wise you are being ripped off if you don't make the minimum and then drop the sponsor.

You need to have a min payout or you could end up sending out 500 2 cent checks.

That being said...TrafficCashGold only has a $5.00 min payout. :thumbsup

I say if you send 1,000 hits and don't get a sale, drop em. I do that exact same thing as the person who mentioned that before. And trust me, it has always worked. The next one I try almost always converts at under 1:500 and they have my business 4 life.

It's a $500 EPASSPORTE only minimum, and that's if you don't want to pay fees.

The G3X and WEGCash minimum payout's are both $50.

For our Epassporte payments though, if you select a smaller minimum payout than $500 there is a simple $2 Epassporte fee, so it's not impossible.

Don't be scared away, just submit your request and we can update your account if you're willing to accept the small fee.

I often have days of 1 from 1000 then follow up with 8-10 sales the next day off the same ammount of traffic.

Until you understand the intricacies of the traffic, making harse business decisions like that will only hurt you and your bottom line.

That's clueless. Why do you base your decision on a 1k traffic test? Send 10k at least then judge.

back in 2000, i signed up with amazon.com made a couple sales & only made $35.. took another damn two years to make that extra $15..(wasnt pushing that hard.. threw up like 5 product links on a single site & said forget about it,, :1orglaugh

However, due to costs of printing checks, its viable to make a $50 min or $100.

I think most sponsors though, if you make 1 sale at a horrible ratio and you request your acct be closed, they'll most likely send you the $35 or $70 or whatever is less than the min.
