I went grassboarding this weekend! What did you do? (PIC)
 

One of my friends called me up on Saturday all excited and asked me if I wanted to go grassboarding on Sunday. Now, I've been snowboarding for 8-9 odd years but I've never heard of grassboarding.

So yesterday one of my buddies whips out this snowboard-like thing with wheels and we drive up to a local golf course I usually go golfing at (which is closed on Sunday for golfers). There are big hills in this golf course so it was perfect to ride down. The only problem was, it had rained the day before so the grass was very wet and there is NO BRAKE. Plus, neither of us had any protection like helmets or pads.

I am still in one piece!

Now we took some of this crazyness on film but I still have to download it on to the computer but here's some pictures of random people grassboarding to give you an idea:

It's kinda similar to snowboarding but it's very difficult to make turns because the wheels are fixed to the board. But it was loads and loads of fun!

must hurt as fuck if you fall ?

Haha well I fell on my arm one time and that hurt yeah! But other than that, the hill will break your fall because you will be sliding down as you fall so it's not that bad. Nevertheless it's quite scary, lol.

Better than hitting pavement off of a skateboard though. :)

as a teenager my dream was to become a skateboarder but i never did any jumps or slides because i was afraid i could hurt myself on the pavement :1orglaugh

Well we didn't do any damage to the course itself. But no, they don't allow people to go grassboarding on the green, lol. I'm a member at the club so I knew where it was safe to go and not wreck the course.

Heh, here they call it mountainboarding and they do it on snowless ski slopes in the summer... Generally most riders have handbrakes though.
