So stealing content is wrong but stealing music isn't?

ace0r 10-09-2005 05:22 PM

you cant burn em if you dont buy them, but they let you download everything they have. i bought a dell dj so i can put the songs on it and listen to 'em. not bad for 15$ a month but i wish it would work with the ipods. overall,i like it.. some songs they wont let you download, but most of them they will.

Yep, true

iTunes is a little better then Napster. The interface just works a bit better and it is compatable with much more.

Any audio that can be played through your computer speakers can also be recorded, converted and then burnt onto a CD. It's not stealing if you already own the music - it's just getting it in a different form.

Napster Inc. (Roxio Inc) has been offering a legal service for quite some time now.

huh? lol, i aint into stealing no matter what it is, but if i'm paying a service like napster $20 a month to download music i should be able to burn it onto a CD so that i can use it where i please.

I don't think that is stealing any more than recording movies off of cable or satellite you subscribe to. At most it is against the service's TOS and if you use something to circumvent copy protection then it gets into illegal ground.
