Freedom Of Speech Disappearing Completely In Britain -- Illegal To Insult Blair
 

Many of us are aware of the hate speech laws in the UK, but were you aware it is now illegal to speak out against Tony Blair?

Police arrested a twenty-year-old woman at the Midlands Game Fair over the weekend of September 17th. What was her offence? A T-shirt that said, "Bullocks to Blair".

Behold the dangers of hate speech laws. If it could offend someone, it's illegal can, essentially, negate any opinion to be expressed about anything.

"I like chocolate."
"I'm allergic to chocolate, an I am offended that you would make such a comment!"

Remember, the hate speech laws are based on how any one individual takes it. The most innocuous statement could be twisted around in someone's head to mean something completely different, and that would be considered hate speech. Such as the word, niggardly.

1. Thought crime - All and any freedom of expression promotes thought.

2. Ignorance is Strength - An ignorant man will fight simply because he is told to. Never once questioning why. Never once because of an opinion or belief he formed on his own.

Woman Booted Off Flight For Anti-Bush Shirt

RENO -- A Washington state woman was bounced from a Southwest Airlines flight in Reno for wearing a T-shirt with the pictures of President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney and the F-word.

The shirt was a play on words taken from the movie "Meet the Fockers." It had the title of the movie, with the last word changed to a curse word, according to KRNV-TV in Reno.

Lorrie Heasley said she plans to press a civil-rights complaint against the airline over Tuesday's action at Reno-Tahoe International Airport. Heasley said the airline offered to let her continue her flight if she were to change her shirt, which she refused to do.

The 'hate laws' that they have bought in in many nations are pretty crazy. Australia has them to, as does most of Europe. Currently the US doesn't have the same kind of laws (as such speech is protected in their constitution) but they are always looking for other ways to shut people up.

Not sure the point you are making, but I am pretty certain you'd be breaking the law in every country by wearing that shirt. Not saying I support it, but having Fuck on your shirt is a criminal offense everywhere (though it isn't alwyas enforced obviously).

I don't know US law but I can tell you that it IS illegal in Australia at least, and MOST other nations. But you know what, I can wear the shirt here to, it is UNLIKELY that I will be arrested for it, but legally I could be. Like I said the US has their constitution which may also protect them on this issue, I don't know (I never studied US law), but pretty much everywhere else in the West it is illegal.

i used to wear a shirt to highschool that says "god of fuck" in big red letters.

show me where it is against the law in the usa to use the word "fuck" in public
