They are agreeing to buy that email address for $1000. That auction didnt even sound scammy at all, it told what the fuck it was very clearly.

Jimbo 10-07-2005 01:35 PM

you gotta be fucking stupid to bid on that lol

will that guy be forced to pay?

Please... go READ THE description........ what are you buying? Come back and answer

FuqALot 10-07-2005 01:37 PM

its probably the lister bidding.. all bids are from a new username

xlogger 10-07-2005 01:37 PM

He listed it in the TV section, so i think ebay will can this.

There are many others.... search for gmail, and completed items.. TONS of completed listings in the $200-400 range

evildick 10-07-2005 01:38 PM

He's probably just bidding on it using some of his own fake accounts. All bidders so far have 0 feedback. I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough not to read the auction before bidding.

edit: someone already mentioned this by the time I hit reply.

detoxed 10-07-2005 01:39 PM

I'm going to sell domain.com @ gmail.com LOL

Forced? If he figures it out before he pays, I'm sure that he'd rather fuck up his ebay account than pay $1000+ to a scammer.

Kevsh 10-07-2005 01:47 PM

looks like 2 morons are in a bidding war - but the description is very clear. If they read it and want that email addy that bad, then hey, are they really getting scammed?

On the other hand if they realize afterwards they are just getting an email address I wonder if they'll be successful getting a charge-back? The ad is clearly deceptive as it is in the TV section but the seller will point out the item desc. clearly says it's not a TV ...

tonyluvbmw 10-07-2005 01:49 PM

its a scam but the highest bidder right now is also a scammer too. he has 0 feedback and he is probably just bidding on it so that he win and not pay

detoxed 10-07-2005 02:03 PM

Look At All The Pages Of Completed Listings Like This!

steffie 10-07-2005 02:32 PM

Yep, it's hardcore--showing a pic of a TV and then a disclaimer that is a GMAIL account. Talking about ebay rips, my buddy was ripped in that big cheap laptop scandal at ebay 2 years ago. What a rip. :(

brilsmurf 10-07-2005 03:01 PM

aaargh i have to pay 910$ for an email, stupid me

lol

BoNgHiTtA 10-07-2005 03:12 PM

But thats a very rare and unique email address. It has to be worth that, or more.

Im bidding now.

emthree 10-07-2005 03:52 PM

Very straight forward, no hidden catch.
Those bids are just fake, it's a mock auction made by friends and retards bidding for kicks.
