Americas war on drugs spare nobody
Just recieved this from azarius.nl
American 'war on drugs' spares nobody A husband who grows cannabis to treat his sick wife has been arrested in the United States and is waiting to hear whether he will be prosecuted for drug dealing following a police raid on his home. Sixty-year-old Alan Blythe opened his door on Friday morning to find six uniformed police officers on the step with a warrant to search his home. The police were acting on a tip-off that Mr. Blythe was growing cannabis at his bungalow, but the warrant was unnecessary as the man immediately handed over his stash of cannabis plants. The raid was the fourth time in a decade that Mr. Blythe has been arrested for growing the drug which he says is the only thing to provide relief from terrible symptoms from the multiple sclerosis his wife, Judith, (57) has suffered for more than 20 years. He said: 'The police were very decent about everything. I saw them on the step and immediately handed over the plants and they arrested me and took me down the station. 'Judith suffers from a terrible dizziness and disorientation but thanks to cannabis, she hasn't had an attack in 13 years. It is the only thing that provides her with any relief and she takes it every day. 'I think it is ridiculous that I can be arrested for doing something out of love to help my wife. 'Whatever happens, I will carry on growing cannabis because it helps Judith and that is far more important than the law.' Now Mr. Blythe has been ordered to attend the police station on October 31 to discover whether he will be prosecuted for the latest offence. Right? Wrong? |
Absolutely WRONG, but there is no doubt he will be prosecuted. Here in the U.S. they don't play with that shit and they refuse to believe that smoking pot has any positive health effects even after research has proven it does.
Our president is about about giving states the power to make laws, but as soon as a state legalizes medicinal marijuana the feds step in and say no way. Unfortunately I don't see this changing anytime soon. I've been a in a wheelchair most of my life due to an inury when I was very young, as I get older I get more and more medical problems. About 3 years ago I started having major issues with my stomach, appetite and getting sick. Whenever I eat, within minutes I get sick and start throwing up (not always but most of the time). I had a loss of appetite because I just got tired of eating and getting sick, the doctors decided nothing could be done except put me on a diet of nothing but liquids and white rice. I couldn't deal with that so I started self medicating, herb gives me the appetite before I eat and settles my stomach afterwards. I will occassionally get sick after eating now, but 99% of the time if I smoke after eating I'm fine. Not sure why this is, but it works. I'm a huge advocate of legalizing marijuana, but I don't think I will see it in my generation. BTW it's been dry here and I haven't been able to eat in 2 days :( sure wish I could go to the local pharmacy and hook up! |
So very wrong.....
