Adxels - Buy Advertising by the Pixel - Only 88 Cents Each!

Adxels is a new way to advertise for less - advertising by the pixel for only 88 cents each!

I've begun testing this new advertising concept (the latest craze in advertising - many other folks now sell ads by the pixel too) on the CANNABIS.COM website only several hours ago to see what would happen - the response by visitors to Adxels(tm) has been amazing - they are clicking and buying!

http://www.cannabis.com/

Adxels information is linked from there - what's revolutionary about Adxels (and similar services to it) is that it allows for many ads be displayed together prominently in a way that's interesting and enticing for visitors.

To recap, the benefits of Adxels:

* Shown together prominently

* Fun and enticing for visitors

* Static links to advertiser' sites

* Improve search engine ranking

* Affordable way to advertise

Advertise for low as 88 cents per pixel!

IMPORTANT: Adxels is not intended for adult sites ...

I post this here, since many here also operate non-adult sites ... ie. on-line dating and gambling related sites are acceptable and may utilize Adxels(tm) right away, such as at CANNABIS.COM http://www.cannabis.com/

p.s. CANNABIS.COM domain name package / content still for sale - contact me at [email protected] and/or [email protected] if questions and/or to submit an offer (top offer received so far nearly $500K USD)

I am gonna throw up if I see another "pixel" related thread.

Ron Bennett 10-07-2005 06:48 AM

Wow, several replies already - that alone shows there's interest! :1orglaugh

Some folks here hate success I guess - be more positive! :rasta

Folks make money by staying current of newest business models / methods - basically trying new things - advertising by the pixel is cool, affordable, etc ... and more importantly gets results!

People that think the milliondollarwebpage.com was a good idea need to check there head, that site was a bad stupid idea that should of flopped on its ass. Somehow he got enough mainstream attention too it that enough people talked about it and therefore the stupid site got traffic and hence people bought advertising.

Its NOT a good idea its a bad idea that only worked because of the amount of attention it got on the news. People replecating it aren't doing themselfs much good IMO.

just wait until the pixels are almost full. hes going to need to pay someone a million dollars to find the last couple boxes inbetween all those ads. lol

May seem dumb, but selling ads by the pixel (more accurately often in 10x10 blocks) allows many ads to be displayed in a very small space offering some real compelling advantages.

1. Advertisers can get prime space on a website easier and at less cost - economies of scale.

2. Visitors are able to browse numerous products / services at once at a glance.

3. Gets many visitors that ignored ads before actively looking and clicking again.

Who knows what will happen 5 years from now, but right now, the new ad concept is working - visitors are looking, clicking, and buying!

Sorry but... ARE YOU HIGH ON DRUGS?

Ron Bennett 10-07-2005 08:47 AM

What do you think ... I run CANNABIS.COM afterall :1orglaugh

In all seriousness, one has to be open to new things - just because something seems crazy, doesn't necessarily mean it is.

For example, many folks here have bought and/or sold domain names for a lot of money ... seems like normal business to many these days, but back in the mid-90s the concept of buying and selling domain names seemed far crazier than pixel ads.

Before totally tossing out the idea of advertising by the pixel, why not try it? ... at minimum, try out some pixel ads on a high-traffic site and see when happens; for folks with lots of traffic, they can test the ad concept for free by simply implementing on on their own site.

AdQuilt - affordable advertising by the square!

Good point - the name is unique and perhaps memorable, but not intuitive.

I've come up with a name, while not overly original, that will make much more sense to advertisers and visitors alike...

AdQuilt - short, simple, intuitive ... and more reflective of what's being sold - small blocks of screen space.

Advertising by the pixel sounds good, but even Million Dollar Home Page doesn't actually sell single pixels.

I listen to feedback, and willing to make changes and refinements based on comments from various folks.

AdQuilt - affordable advertising by the square! :thumbsup
