Hosting that meets my requirements
 

I have posted this list before and all I got was a list of hosts - none of which even met MOST of these:

1) Unique IPs - I need a bunch. No - "reasonable amount" or stuff like that. How many for how much?

2) 24 HOUR PHONE TECH SUPPORT. Tech Support that has an answering machine on 24 hours does not count.

3) SSI on html pages as in example.htm.

4) Full .htaccess

5) As many domains as I want - and the ability to add new ones quickly (less than 3 - 4 hours would be good).

I am using two host currently that offer this. One is freaking $10 a gig, and the other - well I am sure you can guess as they are down right now.

I don't mind paying a reasonable price. $10 a gig is not reasonable - neither is $5 per IP per month.

We can do what you need. We have lots of references as well.

(1) $1 per IP or $128 for a Class-C
(2) 24 Hour Supoort, Phone, Email, ICQ
(3) SSI - Done
(4) full .htaccess - done
(5) $50 Account Fee and $.50/Gig......$10/Gig is ridiculous, please save your money

I am not expecting it to be active by default - I have always used .htaccess to add those two lines or whatever.

I have had at least two hosts that advertise ".htaccess" not allow me to do it. Of course, this might mean it is not FULL htaccess. So I guess you are right :)

$10/gig!!!?? Dude, start running! as fast as you can...

PimpHost, 1 quick question for you. It seems you popped onto this board all of a suddn and are jumping into every hosting thread and spamming your host. OK so question is with the prices your saying I have to ask, whats your bandwidth supplier??...is it anything todo with Cogent ???

I have had similar experiences with hosts and I know what you mean. It's like when some hosts used to say "Unlimited Bandwidth". Yeah sure, unlimited as long as you don't mind being throttled at 1.5k a second. :)

I have been with them for years - I only do probably like 200 gigs a month (with all my hosts). When I started with them I was not doing adult and doing less than 10 gigs a month - and they were charging me like $25 a month or something - which included like 10 gigs free.

That is the funny thing - if I had multiple accounts - the bandwidth would actually be cheaper - as the free bandwith works out to $2.50 a month.

I have never left them and only have a few sites with them. they have had almost 0 downtime and I spend about $100 a month with them. I learned I needed a new host after my first site got listed with Persian Kitty. I never really planned to make money at this - so it has been a real learning experience.

hehe - yeah I have a couple friends that don't do porn, but have a webstite or two, that have acted like I am stupid - "you are paying over $100 a month!!" "I get unlimited transfer for $20.00"...

We use Cogent as a primary and Level 3 as backup over multiple Gig-E.
