jf2404 10-06-2005 10:30 AM

Well done.

I prefer the 5 series.

EroticySteve 10-06-2005 10:37 AM

My favorite BMW is a Mercedes Benz.

Sosa 10-06-2005 10:42 AM

nice ride

Marshal 10-06-2005 10:42 AM

better take 7 series...
thought this one is hot! :D

Fresh 10-06-2005 10:44 AM

I drive a 530i once in a while and its a really comfortable and sporty car. I dont know exactly what the differance is between that and a 520d se but overall its an amazing car. Youll be shocked at how tightly it takes turns and dosnt even budge

jf2404 10-06-2005 10:45 AM

I'm 24 and can barely afford the 5 series, but i wanna treat myself.

My heart is set on the 5 series, i just wondered if anyone had one and what they though of it ?.

You get more respect at a Mercedes Benz dealer

EroticySteve 10-06-2005 11:00 AM

My advice, upgrade, get 1 to 2 year old currently produced model Mercedes Benz.

BMW, is great. Don't get me wrong. But how many people ever say, "yeah that 1993 BMW still looks great" The truth is their beauty isn't timeless and is an acquired taste. If you want a car that is in the here and now, buy a BMW. However in 3 years you may as well wear white loafers and slacks with a sweater tied around your neck, it's about as stylish.

thats very true. Salesmen at BMW dont really give a shit. They will give you info if you ask for it and not a word more. The cars sell themselves. :2 cents:

Downtime 10-06-2005 11:09 AM

Looks awesome, the 5 series is my favorite too (well, the M5 is but that's the dream car). I just bought a 06 325i, and I fuckin love it. I was never a fan of mercedes, and the sales executives i worked with at my dealer were exceptional. Go with the beamer.

EroticySteve 10-06-2005 11:10 AM

BMW motorcycle dealer was the same way. I went in to buy a Boxer Cup replica and all of the salesmen were totally inept. I knew more about the bike than they did, their attitudes sucked. So I got a Harley and will be getting a Ducati.

Brad Gosse 10-06-2005 11:10 AM

I drive an E Class Mercedez now and I have my eye on the 5 series BMW, they drive like a dream and have more features.

The 3 series is the exception to my Mercedes only rule. Yours is sweet. The 3 series does age fairly well design wise.

I also like the M3. The M3 has always been a hot ride.

i feel bad for all the europeans that are paying top dollar for their german cars.. we dont even have the 520d.. for 60k you can drive the new 06 550i.. i would go for an 06 650i which went on sale in the us this month

EroticySteve 10-06-2005 12:13 PM

Europeans get raped on the price then taxed out the ass afterwards. They are double stuffed when it comes to filling up.

Why do people live in Europe still? :)

E.Kant 10-06-2005 12:20 PM

Hot car :thumbsup

Are you joking? Perhaps under a different context but a European airline could have the same rules and restrictions. That has nothing to do with America. That's a company policy.

where in the UK are you?

take me for a ride in it! ;)

Papi Chulo 10-06-2005 02:43 PM

BMW is played out, the minute some asshole makes a few bucks, he'll go out and get a BMW or Mercedes E class.

An Audi A6 RSR has over 450 HP and can blow the doors off a standard Porsche 911 among alot of other cars. It's a four seater, handles like a race car and performs like one too! Price tag..... about 100K. An Audi A6 with "ultra sport suspension" is the same price as a BMW 5 series, but has alot more class and prestige.

I would also consider an Infinity G35 or G35x before a BMW. Those Japs can really build a reliable car!

Just my :2 cents:

tonyluvbmw 10-06-2005 03:14 PM

get the 5 series. it would be my first choice since i already have a 3 series

wildgirl 10-06-2005 03:14 PM

wow! that's a very nice car...cool ride :thumbsup

Go out and drive whatever you are interested in. I don't give a fuck about anyone's opinion. When I buy a car I am interested in a) how it feels to me when I drive it and b) how reliable it is.

I agree with you.

However, some cars are good decisions and some aren't. Hey, I'm not rich, and I'm not poor. It just gets me how someone can spend/waste money when there are good reasons for them not too.

Some decisions are smart, some cars are good buy. Some cars aren't a smart buy.

First off, someone's got to buy the car new, just don't let it be you. Many cars are built so well that you can get them like new a few months or a year old.

During the same week a friend of mine and I both bought current model year Mercedes.

I got mine for about 60% of what the person who bought it new paid for it. I got it from the same dealer. My buddy got an SL, same deal, well his % was a bit higher, % of original price than mine.

Point being between our cars total mileage was about 10,000 miles, like new, starmark warranty for 100k miles.

If you buy a Bimmer, I just suggest that you go for a used model that is still current model year. Shop around and drive a hard deal.

Trust me when I say that someone's looking to sell one more than you want to buy it.
