i went on holiday and ate loads of shit with hot sauce now i am at home I'm putting on everything I swear I am hooked, its hurting my asshole though! anyone else got this problem ?

I love hot sauce on most dishes. My favorite grocery store brands are Trappy's or Louisiana Hot Sauce over Tabasco (they are about the same heat, the big difference is Tabasco has more of a vinegary taste while the others have more flavor).

I entered the pepper eating contest one year at the Louisiana Pepper festival and came in 2nd. I made the guy who had won it for 8 years straight sweat it out before finally conceeding to him. It wasn't the heat, I had eaten so many (8 plates) that I was hurting from fullness. He had won with 4 plates the year before :1orglaugh

My brother-in-law ordered some hot sauces online and gave me one that was actually too much for me. It was called Black Widow (had a black plastic spider glued to the neck). If you got even the slightest bit on your hand and washed with soap and water but touched your face it would set it on fire.

Louisiana hot sauce is the best I have had. Its such a good blend, not too hot, not too weak. And its like 50 cent a bottle.

I love it.

Is hot sauce a healthy choice for foods? I always hear spices are the most healthy choice but if you wanted sauce on your chicken what would be the best/most healthy choice for sauce/flavour?!

Any hot peppers are healthy. They are a natural antioxidant and can enhance your metabolism.

As far as best flavor, that's in the tastebuds of the beholder. Try various ones until you hit one that does it for you. For store brands as I mentioned above Trappy's and Louisiana Red Hot Sauce are my personal favorites. If those aren't around, Frank's is a good choice.

I think the worst are the habanero sauces (usually orange). It's not the heat (I can practically drink most store brands), they have a nasty aftertaste that always reminds me of a medicine or chemical. Bleh! The jalapeno sauces are OK but I prefer the red sauces. Go for a brand of jalapeno sauce other than Tabasco brand, again the difference is the extra vinegary taste rather than flavor.
