A good friend of the family collects cars ... Nice cars .. he has a 3 story garage at his house in CT and it houses car that are worth millions. he even bought the first ever Ducati motorcycle for almost a million $ a few years back. He out bid the company ..

anyway .. the guy has big money ... he does a charity even each year for Cancer and the last few years one of the things he does is raffle off a lambo .. last year my father in laws secretary won it .. (he sold it for her) ... This year its a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe ( worth about $170k)

he does 200 tickets for $1000 each ... so i bought one ..i figure it's going to a good cause and if i win .. it's a nice prize .. :thumbsup

That's a great way to promote a charity - they used to do that every year at the Corvette Club in Ontario - $200 ticket and 1:200 chance or something like that. Well worth the lottery especially for the charity - Good luck!

well there are a lot of guys at the event that will keep the car and could just buy one i guess ... personally i wouldn't buy one at this point in my life because i could do other things with the money ... if i won i would most likely sell it ... last year the dealer just gave bought the car from the girl that one.

I guess it's just a fun way to earn an extra 30k for the event plus they have the car at the event ...

he started these events because of my Niece ... she had cancer at 3 and he planned an event for her at his restaurant in Manhattan ... he raise over $120k for uncovered medical and a fund for her school ... she is 8 now and doing fine now ... he's done the even ever since then for local hospitals and charities dealing with cancer ... it gets bigger and bigger each year .. the mayor comes and lots of celebs ... it's pretty cool that he does it .. :thumbsup

these tickets sellout in 2 days ... we had to tell him to hold one for us .. they go very fast ... the tickets at my father in laws ..i have to take a pic of it ..it's black with gold trim ..with your name it gold ... there nice ..like a golden ticket ... :thumbsup


he is in the stock market ... he sold a Fund that he started for 300 million about 4 years back ... does all kinds of things now I guess whatever he wants that day ... :1orglaugh
