Well, there is tons of optimizing methods for adsense. I've learned that it comes even down to the the whole layout of your site, not just the adsense placement. I managed to improve my CTR tremendously, allowing me to cruise at 150-300 bucks a day from adsense alone.

Quick tip:

the slim one line banners with 4 or 5 links are killer!

Lets say this way: you'll need much less "web hosting" traffic than "sports" traffic.

Before Katrina I had put the adsense script on a couple sites but then was offline a few weeks. I checked yesterday and had averaged 10-15 cents/day on those placements. Yesterday afternoon I put the script on the footer of my hurricane blog and this morning it shows that half day yesterday made $4.31. Now with some traffic to the site... and about a dozen more daily blogs...:1orglaugh

I use Adsense across all of my niche blogs. Content is king, frequent updates are a must.

I mean, you can obviously run adsense on bullshit sites with little content... just enough content not to get canned from the program. From what I understand, Google is quite picky about having their banners not on page farms. You may get paid one month, but once you generate a noticable income, they will look and kick you.

From my personal experience adsense is a killer for content rich sites and blogs that update frequently. Do a little tweaking, mixing and matching, adjusting the colors and merging the ad unit into your overall content flow and you're good to go.

I'm running about 7k to 9k uniques a day on one of my main content based sites and am looking to exchange some hard links with like traffic numbers.

I'm curious to see other content based sites that do well.

traffic comes from my adult sites aswell as search engines and bookmarks
so far i havent made shit from it but i havent tried adsense there

Yeah I have a site, one of my original sites that doesnt do a ton of traffic anymore, but makes 2k a month just on adsense. Its great.
