fast way to send a Moneygram or WesternUnion from US to Spain..?
my little sister went off to her first year of college a few weeks back in Madrid from the US, and had her purse stolen and needs cash for school... anyone perhaps enlighten me as to what the fastest way i can get some cash over there for her to pick up, over the internet? i'd really like to get this off from here at my keyboard tonight instead of her having to wait until tomorrow afternoon, so any pointer would be greatly appreciate. thx in advance all..!

Western Unions are all over Spain.....the bigger ones are open 24hours a day.
When you send now....within half an hour....she can pick it up. There's an agent locator in the WU website...so you can even tell your sister where they are. :thumbsup http://www.westernunion.com/ |
yes Dynaspain you are right. But if its your first time sending money through Western Union you might have to call them to verify your identity. Also there are limits on how much you can send at once.
Good luck |

thx friends, got it sent off about 10 minutes ago, seemed to go smoothly through their automated system's anti-fraud control (talk about killer challenge/response scrubbing!) so she'll be good to go soon enough.
most appreciated all..! http://twash.com/iku/grinworker.gif |

This is what I would do:
After you send her a western union - get her an E-Bullion ATM card or one of those Maestro cards online (she would have to open an e-bullion account - you then transfer money to her card and she could order it and have it delivered locally - then you can DHL it to her) She could keep it (the card) in a safe place and if anything happens - you can easily transfer money (gold) into her e-bullion account etc. she gets access to the money instantly. E-bullion cards cost around 39 bucks, and .50 (yes 50 cents a month) to maintain and 100 % anonymous. - Just a thought. |
