What to buy my mother for her 50th birthday?

Been thinking about this for way to long... Don't have the slightest idea. Basically my parents are the worst to buy something for: whenever they want something they buy it. So now I'm looking for a decent, original gift and I'm getting pretty desperate (since it's in less than a week)

Any sugestions?

Does she like wine? Does she entertain friends for dinner (hey, no sarcastic comments - adults will know what I mean ...)? If so, get her a nice crystal decanter and matching wine glasses. Expensive, but hey, it's your mom!

A trip to Thailand will be very much appreciated. :winkwink: :thum bsup

Golden girls: nice one (as a little extra)
Me cooking for her? I'd like her to reach 51 without anu healthproblems
Thailand she has been to and didn't liked it very much (they like africa better, but are currently unable to go because of some healthproblems my father has)
The wine: she likes it, but she doesn't know anything about it. Don't think I could do her a favor with a decanter. (it will just end up at the attic with the other presents I gave her in the last 20 years)

Send her to a spa for a makeover, then take her out for a nice dinner

Doesn't have to be a big ticket item, here's one that will work. Instead of one present, get fifty little ones. Thank you cards, bath stuff, plants and garden stuff, an IOU for dinner at a good place, etc. Even better if you wrap each item seperate. Yes, it takes a little time to get the 50 little items, but Mom's remember that type of thing forever. :2 cents:

:thumbsup
